Hi TK Parents/Guardians and Kiddos,
Hope you had a restful weekend. Here's the latest scoop: CONFERENCES It was a pleasure meeting with you all during conferences. Thank you so much for being on time. It helped make the day go smooth, and it was much appreciated. Your kiddos are awesome, and I can't wait to see how far they can go! CANNED FOOD DRIVE: THANK YOU Thank you for donating cans to my gym. We donated a huge bag! Attached is a picture of all the cans collected, and we were a part of it :) SPORTS DAY, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28 Last week we had our Great Shakeout (earthquake, lock down, and fire drill.) Our kiddos did a phenomenal job following directions, and we received multiple compliments on how nicely our lines were when we were walking. So proud of our kiddos that we decided to put ALL the marbles in our bucket. Hence, we will be having a SPORTS DAY Friday. You can dress up in your favorite team's jersey, your jersey from a sport, etc. The possibilities are endless :) NO HALLOWEEN COSTUMES Do NOT send your child in costume on Oct. 31. Halloween costumes are NOT allowed on campus. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. BOOK SWAP If you have any books you would like to donate, the school is doing a book swap. This is where we (students) donate books, and all the books get spread out in front of the library on a particular day. Depending on how many books are donated, your kiddos get to "shop" and take some books home. Have a marvelous rest of your Monday, and I look forward to seeing you all on time and ready to learn tomorrow! Sunshine Smiles, Miss Fiscus Hi TK Parents/Guardians and Kiddos, It's almost the weekend, and we have a special event going on Saturday. Plus, more info. to share: North Country Fire Open House We had a Fire Prevention assembly earlier this week, and Smokey the bear told us about a special event this Saturday! Bring your family for North County's Fire's Annual Prevention Open House at Station 1. There will be fire engines, ambulances, law enforcement vehicles and helicopters on display, pictures with Smokey the bear, disaster preparedness information and more! When: Saturday, October 15 Time: 10am-2pm Where: Station 1, 315 E. Ivy St. Fallbrook, CA 92028 Great Shakeout Please help prepare our kiddos for the Great Shakeout taking place next Thursday at 10:20am. I've attached a picture with basic instructions. Thanks in advanced to prepare our kiddos for safety. THANK YOU DONATIONS: KLEENEX AND CLOROX WIPES :) Thank you for the generous donations on Kleenex and Clorox wipes. Hand sanitizer would be greatly appreciated still. Thanks! We want our kiddos staying healthy and our classroom clean :) VOLUNTEERS FOR HARVEST ACTIVITIES Within the next couple of weeks, we have lots of arts/activities we will be doing, and parent volunteers would be helpful. Please send me an email if you are interested in volunteering M/W/TH/F (everyday EXCEPT Tuesday as we go to music) from around 9:50-10:50am. Before you can volunteer, make sure you have filled out and returned the Volunteer Conduct Form AND your TB test. If you would like to go on possible field trips and be able to be in the classroom WITHOUT the teacher present (say if I had to use the restroom), you will also need a BACKGROUND CHECK and FINGERPRINTS. HOPE FOR PARKER FUNDRAISER: SOUPLANTATION Just a friendly reminder that next Thursday, Oct. 20 at Souplantation we will be having a fundraiser to support Parker Landis, one of my former TK kiddo's, fight against DIPG. You do NOT need the flyer. Just mention Parker's fundraiser, print the flyer if you want, or show the code on your phone, so they can print the receipt for the records. Thank you SO much for your support. I know the Landis family and myself greatly appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend, and here's a little food for thought :) Kindly,
Miss Fiscus I belong to an amazing gym who, like myself, values the importance of giving back to our community. P4L Fitness is donating canned foods to people in need, and I thought it would be a great idea if we got Miss Fiscus' class involved to teach our kiddos the value and importance of giving back. If you would like to donate even just ONE can, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be delivering the cans to the gym when I go. Let's help those in need by giving back. Thanks, P4L Fitness, and thanks TK kiddos for your kind and generous hearts. I KNOW that those in need greatly appreciate it, and we NEED more giving in this world. Let's lead by example, and make this a joyous holidays for all :) Thank you!
As many of you know by now, last year one of my TK kiddos was diagnosed with a rare disease, DIPG. We are holding a fundraiser to help raise money and awareness at Souplantation. Below is the flyer. Come out and support if you can. Good food and a good cause :) Thank you! For more information on Parker, please visit: hopeforparker.com. Let's continue to spread the awareness. I truly believe awareness is the first step to change, and together we CAN make a difference <3
