Hope you are all getting your rest and relaxing (while enjoying and loving) your break. Lots of goodness and adventures this summer for me: LOVING all of my time spent with loved ones (my favorite); relaxation time: reading inspirational books; soaking up the sunshine by the pool, ocean, and nature; making and listening to positive vibes on my playlists /music; doodling/making/creating art;, fishing (I almost won the jackpot for catching the biggest fish: red snapper!); eating mom's homemade meals/goodies, and sushi! YUM!; celebrating birthdays/graduations (yup, Miss Fiscus entered a new decade "riding a saddle" hehe)...yoga; gym (another one of my "happy places!"); oh, yeah...and going to ITALY (first time on a plane--14 hour flight!, first time on a train, and first time on a bus! Sounds like a verse from Dr. Seuss hehe)...and so much more that I'd love to share...stay tuned :D
I'm thankful and grateful for all the goodness (and even the challenges because they are helping me "learn, stretch, and grow", which we will be doing in TK!) This break has been lovely, and I know this school year is going to be AMAZING as well :)
I am beyond EXCITED to see you all, so "Let the Adventure Begin!" (You are going to LOVE our new TK/Kinder playground area. The above quote is just a tiny hint on what you will find :D)
Below is just a snapshot of a few adventures. Oh, and a few other highlights of Italy: a 10 mile walk through Rome; going on a private tour around Florence to celebrate and learn about the 500th anniversary of Leonardo DaVinci; visiting the jaw-dropping Vatican (which on our 3 hour tour, we barely touched the surface of all of its amazingness!); how you have to PAY for water and the bathroom (aren't we lucky here in the U.S.!); and what I took away from this awe-inspiring trip was how different, yet the same we all are. From Italy to Cali, we are ONE! We all love; we all laugh; and we all have the potential to CHANGE the WORLD with our kindness and compassion <3
Have an ADVENTUROUS school year, and remember--in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "BE SILLY, BE HONEST, (and my favorite and one of our most important rules in class)...*Drumroll* BE KIND." <3
Limitless Love,
Miss Fiscus
Spreading joy, peace, love, and sunshine smiles your way today and always. As one of our former principals used to say, "See you on time, and ready to learn!" (Friendly reminder: School starts on Wednesday, August 21 and TK Orientation will be the day before on Tuesday, August 20.) I'm ECSTATIC to see you! 'Til then, soak up the sunshine, spend time with your loved ones, keep on smiling, spread joy, and be kind...oh, and get PLENTY of REST because it's going to be an ADVENTUROUS year :D
