What a wonderful night at Open House. Thank you to all who came out. I had a lovely time seeing you all, and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. SO proud of our kiddos and their Sight Word Performance. They did awesome!!!
For those of you who could not make it, don't worry. If you would like to come in to look around the room, just let me know. Also, if you missed the Sight Word performance, no worries either. We will be doing another performance at our promotion (details on that coming soon!)
Side note: Your child was sent home with a sight word packet and CVC (word family -an) packet in their folders. Again, like always, this "homework" is NOT mandatory; however, it is HIGHLY encouraged for reinforcement. If your child brings it back, they'll earn a special surprise.
I am so thrilled to hear that some of your kiddos are already reading/recognizing sight words in books and in their surroundings. That is AWESOME!!! Again, if they are still working on recognizing their letters/sounds, that is PERFECTLY OK :) All children progress and grow at different rates; progress and improvement is key, and ALL our children have improved since the beginning of the year. You should be proud. I sure am. And, PLEASE tell your child how proud you are of them. Positive reinforcement grows their confidence and self-esteem. I have seen ALL your children grow throughout the year, and with one month left, we are excelling at a faster pace. They are absorbing knowledge and applying it quickly. It's exciting to witness :)
As we come closer to the end of the year, I just want to thank you again for everything. You are all awesome (kiddos and their families alike), and I truly appreciate all of your loving care and support. Let's continue that momentum as we end this fabulous year!
Have a wonderful weekend, and see you all on time and ready to learn on Monday! Take care <3
Love,
Miss Fiscus
