Below are some updates and reminders:
Jump Rope for Heart
We will be jumping on Tuesday, February 9 from 8:15-8:30 on the basketball courts. If you would like to support and watch your child, please check in at the front desk beforehand :) Also, PLEASE dress your child appropriately (closed-toed shoes and NO dresses/skirts for the girls.) Don't forget to get those donations in as well. We have had several earn their dog key chains for raising money. WAY TO GO, KIDDOS :D
Six Flags Reading Logs
Last semester, I handed out reading logs for a FREE pass to Six Flags. I've attached the directions and reading log sheets under the "TK Resources" tab if you are still interested. All entries MUST be returned by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26!
Sight Word Packets
Next week before we go on break, I will be sending your child home with a sight word packet (I've also attached it as a file under the "TK Resources" tab should they misplace it.) It will have the color-coded words (as I called them "Rainbow Words"), so you can cut them out to make flashcards to practice. This is OPTIONAL and not a requirement, however, the reinforcement at home is a great way to help your child learn. I will also send home some worksheets to follow up along with having your child listen to the CD of songs I gave your child from winter break. This will be a little something for them to do over their President's Day break :)
If you would like more reinforcement for the sight words, let me know. I have additional worksheets to practice their sight words, too :)
Caring Celebration
Just a friendly reminder that we will be having our Caring Celebration on Wednesday, February 10. More info. was explained in the email.
Mother/Son Bowling Night
If you have a son in the class, they should have come home with a flyer for Mother/Son Bowling night, which will be held Sunday, February 28 at 1-3:30pm at Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl in Murrieta. Tickets are $20 each and will be on sale February 8-9, 2pm in front of school. Admission includes food.
Ok, I think that's all the updates for now! Whew! Hope everyone is staying healthy. We've had several absences, so I hope everyone stays warm and well rested. We miss you to those who are gone, but remember, health first! You are always in our thoughts, and we want the best for our kiddos!
Thanks, as always, for being such great parents! I feel truly blessed to be a part of your kiddos' and your lives. I always do my best and look into the best interest for your child. Have a great rest of your week, and look forward to a fun-filled next couple of weeks before break :)
Sincerely,
Miss Fiscus
