Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather outdoors! I spent the weekend celebrating my grandma's 84th birthday and...became an AUNTIE :))))
Parker Visit
Also, I got to visit our TK friend yesterday. I brought Sharkbite and gave him all the stuff we've been doing in class. I've attached a picture of what we gave him labeled Sharkbite and Surprises :) We gave him a photo album of pictures that we take Sharkbite everywhere we go/do in class, a journal written in it by "Sharkbite" who tells him what we've been up to, Sharkbite's "hw" so he can help him if he feels up for it, little gifts from the class...and Sharkbite got his little sister a little goodie bag and activity workbook, too. Sharkbite found a dinosaur T-Rex model for him to build and a 3D shark book! I also got a picture of him with Sharkbite and a few pictures of his baseball throw on Saturday (thank you Mrs. Lucy for those pictures!) He is doing well, considering the situation but a bit tired. He got to go whale/dolphin watching yesterday, too, so by the time I got there, he was really tired. He also received a stuffed zebra from the fire department, who he named Couscous (his favorite food!) The kiddos and I think about him everyday and hope the best!
GREAT JOB, TK KIDDOS!
In regards to the kiddos, they had a MARVELOUS Monday! So proud of them, so be sure to tell your kiddo how proud you are of them for following our rules: listening when others are speaking, following directions the first time, raising hands to speak or leave our seats, keeping hands, feet, and objects to self, and most importantly our FAVORITE, MOST IMPORTANT RULE--being kind to myself and others...we have been working a lot on teamwork, helping one another, giving positive encouragement/compliments to our friends, and have been genuinely kind to our friends, which makes me super happy :) This leads to a positive learning environment, which I feel our kiddos have been growing so much academically in their writing, communication skills, and we have been learning sight words and soon we will be moving on to CVC word families (words with -at, -in, etc.)
Thanks, as always, for your continued support, care, and for taking an active interest in your child's education. I truly do appreciate the emails and feedback from you all and getting to know you all better as the year continues. Again, feel free to reach me anytime, and I always do my best to get back at my earliest convenience.
Have a lovely rest of your Monday!
Sunshine Smiles (to match the sunshine weather) :)

P.S. If anyone went to Chuck E Cheese and/or the bowling event on Sunday, hope it was fun!
