Hope you all had a relaxing and fun long weekend with your loved ones! Mine consisted of cleaning the bathroom, car, room, and other "tidying" up, and as ironic as this may sound, it felt SO good and smells so fresh and so clean :) I love cleaning and organizing. I also got to spend time with my family and boyfriend, which is always the best :)
The kiddos came back with listening ears and energetic bodies ready for some dancing, singing, and learning, and they did an awesome job today! So proud of them!
American Heart Association Fundraiser: Jump Rope for Heart
I sent home the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart flyer today because if your kiddo raises $150 by this Friday, they will be recognized at the assembly with a giraffe stuffed animal. Just wanted to get it out to you early in case you wanted to get a head start on fundraising :)
I do my best to set an example for the kiddos, so for the past two years, I have also taken part in the fundraiser, setting up my own account online. I tell the kiddos that we raise money and will be jumping rope for kiddos with special hearts, whose hearts don't work like ours and need doctors to help them be healthy. I made a goal to raise $500 last year and I SURPASSED my goal :D
If you choose not to ask for donations but would still like to contribute to the AHA, feel free to donate to my page or you can just check out my page to see how you can create one for your kiddo as well and get donations online: http://jumphoops2017wsa.kintera.org/tkfiscus
If you have anymore questions about this fundraiser, we will be having an assembly this Friday, January 20 at 8:05am in the MPR explaining more. The actual event will take place on February 14. Thank you for your support, and look forward to raising awareness and money for these special kiddos <3
